EXHIBITION:
WE’RE NOT ANGRY, WE’RE JUST DISAPPOINTED
Curated by Jo Blin & Michael John Rowland
Scenography by OBJECT:PARADISE
We told you everything already but you didn’t listen. You still don’t get it. You’re still talking. Just shut the fuck up. We’re not angry, we just sound angry. We’re not angry, we’re tired. We just want to move on.
We’re not hysterical feminists, we’re just disappointed. We’re not white men exterminators, we’re just disappointed. We’re not raging snowflakes, we’re just disappointed. We’re not trying to cancel your uncle, we’re just disappointed.
We already told you everything but you just don’t listen. Let’s move on. Let’s pretend for a moment that these conversations have all happened, and no longer need to be had.
As artists we judge and laugh at the noises of our times, the progress and the gremlins in the machine. Until we stop laughing. We put these pictures up because there were walls here. There’s anger here, as there should be. But mostly, we’re just disappointed.
